Day 11
Our team meets you at Luwuk Airport and takes you by private shuttle to the Estrella Hotel, with its views over Luwuk Bay.
Settle in, relax by the pool or book a massage at the spa. The afternoon is for meeting your fellow travellers and getting ready for the cruise.
Planning to dive? We go through your wishes with you at the hotel, so we can arrange your dives with the dive centres in the islands.
Overnight: Estrella Hotel, Luwuk
After a drive to Pagimana, we board the Toki Toki for a full day at sea on the way to Malenge.
Expect white beaches and crystal-clear water, with time to snorkel or dive. We explore Puah Island and its small archipelago, and stop for a barbecue of fresh fish on a secluded beach before sailing on to Malenge.
Your first night is in one of our selected guesthouses, on its own private beach.
Overnight: Guesthouse on Malenge
After breakfast the Toki Toki is yours for the day. We explore the waters around Malenge and Walea Kodi and visit Pulau Papan, a village known for the long wooden walkway built for its children.
Go for a walk, a dive or a snorkel, or simply listen to the waves on the white-sand beaches.
Overnight: Guesthouse on Malenge
After breakfast we set sail for Kadidiri Island, cruising along the coasts of Kalea and Calya Island with stops at small beaches and villages.
On the way we stop at the famous Jellyfish Lake, where you swim among jellyfish drifting through the water like stars.
At the Kadidiri Paradise Resort a private beach is waiting. Paddleboard, snorkel or dive, then watch the sunset from the deck. There is time to explore too, with walks along the beach and through the jungle.
Overnight: Kadidiri Paradise Resort
After breakfast with a view of the beach, dive (if you are certified) or snorkel and paddleboard from the resort's private beach. Divers can choose two or three dives.
Spend the rest of the day exploring the island's green interior or relaxing at the resort, and keep the sunset for the deck.
Overnight: Kadidiri Paradise Resort
After breakfast we sail to Una Una Island, with wide views of the sea and the islands on the way.
Una Una is known for its colourful reefs, a paradise for divers. Snorkel or dive among the corals and the many kinds of fish.
In the afternoon you can join a trek along a dry riverbed of pebbles towards the heart of the active volcano, through a landscape shaped by eruptions, with steam rising from the ground.
Afterwards, relax on the beach or spend time with the local community, then end the day with dinner under the stars.
A second day on Una Una. Certified divers can dive a new site or the deeper coral gardens with a guide; everyone else can snorkel from the beach or simply relax.
In the afternoon, visit remote beaches and lagoons that can only be reached by boat, perhaps with a picnic prepared by the crew, or take some time for yourself.
Your last evening on Una Una ends with a farewell dinner of local food.
We sail to Bomba Island along quiet coasts, stopping at small beaches and villages on the way.
The staff of the Poya Lisa Resort welcome you on arrival. Your bungalow sits on a private beach with sunset views. After a meal overlooking the sea, dive, snorkel or paddleboard as you like.
End the day watching the sun set over the Togean archipelago.
Overnight: Poya Lisa Resort, Bomba
After breakfast overlooking the beach, dive (if you are certified), snorkel or paddleboard from your private beach.
The afternoon is for white sand, snorkelling, village visits and dives around the small island of Bomba, a good chance to meet the people who live here.
We end the day with a sunset on a sandbank that rose from the sea only recently.
Overnight: Poya Lisa Resort, Bomba
After breakfast the Toki Toki sails along the coasts of Kalea and Calya Island to the south side of Malenge, stopping at small beaches and villages on the way.
The night is in one of our selected guesthouses, on its own private beach.
Overnight: Guesthouse on Malenge
After breakfast the Toki Toki takes us slowly back to Pagimana, past mangroves, quiet villages and the last views of the islands.
In Pagimana a private car drives you back to the Estrella Hotel in Luwuk, with a stop on the way at Piala Waterfall.
Overnight: Estrella Hotel, Luwuk
Enjoy a last morning at the Estrella Hotel and its pool, go back to Piala Waterfall, or take a walk through Luwuk, a small coastal town in the Banggai region of Central Sulawesi.
Later in the day our private shuttle takes you to Luwuk Airport for your flight to Makassar.
Diving is paid separately. We plan your dives with you on the first day and book them with the dive centres in the islands.
