Leisure & Beach Relaxation

Slow down on palm-fringed beaches in Kadidiri, Malenge, Puat, and Bomba—clear lagoons, soft sand, and uninterrupted island quiet.

Overview

Most beaches here see no one for days at a time. No other boats, no vendors, no buildings. Just empty sand, clear water, and hours of peace and intimacy with whoever you brought.

What you'll do

Crystal water, white sand, coconut palms. Many beaches are tide-dependent and temporary. What you do is minimal: swim, find shade, read, sleep, repeat. Hours disappear without trying.

Best time

Dry season March-October means more sun hours and calmer seas. But beaches exist year-round — and shorts rain just changes the rhythm.

On our cruises

  • Day 2 (every cruise): a barbecue of fresh fish on a secluded beach near Pulau Puah.
  • Bomba (day 5 of the 8-day cruise, days 6 or 8-9 of the longer ones): a bungalow with its own beach at Poya Lisa and a sunset on a sandbank.
  • Kadidiri: the beach and sunset deck of Kadidiri Paradise.
  • Una Una (The Grand Tour, days 6-7): beach time, a picnic prepared by the crew on a beach reachable only by boat.

Good to know

Everything's on the boat: shade, drinks, meals. Beach choice depends on tides and weather. Crew proximity adjusts to your preference naturally.

Questions

Will there be other tourists on the beaches?

Rarely. Most beaches we stop at have no buildings, no vendors and no other boats; the guesthouse beaches are private.

Is there shade?

Yes. The boat has a shaded lounge and sundeck, and the crew sets up at beaches with trees. Bring reef-safe sunscreen and a hat.
