Hikes & Panoramas
Trade reefs for ridgelines: jungle walks on Malenge and Batudaka, plus Mount Colo's volcanic trek on Una Una for sweeping bay views.
Overview
Volcanic summits, jungle pathways, secret waterfalls, lakes, and coastal ridges across the islands of the Archipelago. Here, every trail is rewarding.
What you'll do
No trail markers, no facilities, no infrastructure — the pace adjusts to terrain. Frequent stops for never-seen flora, or for wildlife that appears unexpectedly.
Best time
March to October offers drier trails and stable weather. Wetter months mean muddier paths and a certain unpredictability.

Questions
What should I wear on the hikes?
Closed shoes or sturdy sandals, a hat and light clothes. Trails can be muddy after rain; the crew carries water.
Is the volcano trek difficult?
It is a walk over loose pebbles in the heat rather than a climb; anyone in reasonable health can do it at an easy pace.
